Taylor Hobbs, III Principal
AIA, LEED AP
Taylor Hobbs is one of the co-founders Hobbs Architects, PA and is the design lead within the office. Taylor has worked to become strongly rooted in the local community and has served on numerous boards such as the Chatham Arts Council, the Chatham County Economic and Development Corp., and the AIA Triangle. These roots have helped enable Taylor to work on major local - community based - municipal & institutional projects.
Taylor grew up in rural eastern North Carolina where simple agricultural buildings compose the architectural language of the coastal plain landscape. These recognizable forms underlie a modern reinterpretation effort visible in the firm’s architecture and culture. Architecture without ego is an ideal stressed by Taylor as a fundamental design philosophy, one which seeks the unique soul of each project. Outside of work Taylor enjoys swimming, fishing, working with his family on home improvement projects, and white water rafting.
