Currently in design, Hobbs Architects has partnered with ADW Architects on the Moore Center, a former automotive parts factory on CCCC’s Sanford, N.C. campus. In 2021 Central Carolina Community College acquired the Marelli Industrial Campus with plans to expand their Lee County Campus. The Marelli Industrial Campus is located immediately South of the Wicker Center and Health Science Buildings. The Marelli Campus was renamed the Moore Center and will be home to the Advanced Manufacturing Departments at CCCC. The renovations at the Moore Center are to be phased with this initial phase providing major site and parking improvements, a new main entrance at the North corner of the building, and interior renovations to create lab spaces to support the Industry Services Program. Future programs will be added to the building under future renovation projects.
